I recently went to visit Stockholm, Sweden and it was truly beautiful! I definitely thought I had enough warm clothes but even under all my layers that 20-30 degree weather was definitely creeping up on me! I’m a warm weather type of girl but I managed! I stayed in the downtown part of Stockholm, the concierge was telling me to go to the local malls and downtown shopping, but instead of shopping I really had my heart set on seeing a CASTLE! Or anything close to it, lol . Unfortunately, I started my sightseeing so much later in the day because I was getting so lost and confused lol. The way the street signs are, they are actually on the building and not how ours are in the states, where ever corner there’s a street sign and pole. After a cab ride and a few blocks of walking I ended up at The Tre Krenor Museum, The Royal Apartment, and a really beautiful scenic view of the Grand Hotel and other museums across the water. I wish I jotted down the names of every bridge and statue I saw, but I was just enjoying the scenery and architecture. I was walking so much it started turning into night fall and as the sunset came down, I came across this beautiful bridge (TRIP_2012-18.jpg). I literally just sat there admiring the icy water, the sunset, the light posts, the architecture of all the stones. The air was so fresh, it was a really nice moment…I was losing track of time but I ended up walking in the fashion district area where it was more lively, there were bands playing, tons of people shopping, and a bunch of H&M stores lol! I fell into a candy store and I came home with pounds of candy for everyone as souvenirs. I wish I was able to enjoy more of the cuisine but honestly it was the first time I didnt have the stomach to try anything new, I literally just stuck to hamburgers and breakfast foods lol! I just didnt understand the menus and I needed something fast and familiar! Nevertheless, I had a great time and I’m happy I can say I’ve visited there and had a wonderful time.
